In just two years the Cervelo Test Team won 3 World Championships, the Green Jersey at the tour De France, achieved World No.1 rankings for the men’s and women’s teams and took stage wins at all grand tours. Most Cervelo Test Team riders achieved career best performances during this period, including Thor Hushovd, Heinrich Haussler, Philip Deignan, Brett Lancaster, Theo Bos, Dan Lloyd, Stefan Denfil, Serge Pauwels, Ingnatas Konovalovas, Emma Pooley, Martin Reimer, Kristin Armstrong, Claudia Haussler and Kirsten Wild. Many of the older Cervelo riders achieved a renaissance in their performances including Roger Hammond, Jeremy Hunt and Inigo Questa.
Sports nutrition, sport physiology, training and sports medicine, provide the cornerstones of attaining and maintaining top performance. ESG provided Cervelo nutrition programs and sports medicine support, which was seamlessly integrated with training. This helped Cervelo to immediate success ahead of long established and better funded teams including Rabobank, Team Sky and Columbia HTC.
ESG provided personalised sports nutrition and sports medicine services to the Cervelo Test Team. These were delivered at training camps and throughout grand tours including the Giro (Tour of Italy) and the Tour De France. We have further developed our sports medicine and personalized nutrition services so they are even more effective, but with lower costs.
